The West London Area

The West London Area was founded 5 years ago by area coordinator Steve Gibson, who was succeeded by our current area coordinator, Robert Pain (aka Sparkly Berkeley Bob). Bob organises our regular monthly meetings and other events (see the Events page), and represents us in the national club meetings. There are currently around 210 members in the West London area.

Bob can be contacted at sparklyberkeleybob@yahoo.co.uk or by phone on 020 8991 1266.

The West-London Mailing List

We run a regional email mailing list where announcements regarding West-London activities are posted, and you can discuss events and other things MX-5 related with other local members. To subscribe to the mailing list, you will need to get a user account with Yahoo (which takes about 10 minutes on their website), and then subscribe to our YahooGroup mailing list.

To subscribe, email a blank message to Yahoo Groups WestLondonMX5 group or go to the group home page and follow the instructions there.

Typical traffic on this group is usually 5-25 mails a month, so you needn't worry about getting a deluge of irrelevant twaddle!

The UK MX5 Club

The Club was founded in 1994 and now has over 4,000 active members. It's open to all Mazda MX5/Miata/Roadster owners and enthusiasts.

Benefits to members include:

  • National and local Club events
  • A quarterly magazine
  • Discounted insurance (through AON Insurance Services)
  • Discounts on servicing, parts and accessories

The Club is divided into a number of areas, each arranging its own meetings, drives and social events. The Club also organises national events arranged by the Club, some of which are attended by over 500 cars.

Full details of the Club can be found at www.mx5oc.co.uk and the forum is available on www.mx5ocforum.co.uk

The European MX-5 Mailing List

Subscribe to the MX5 Mailing List to join in an exchange of information about the MX5 via e-mail. Join in with the group to ask (or answer!) questions on every aspect of the MX5 (whether it be discussion of interesting places to drive, modifications and maintenance, or help solving mechanical problems, etc).

To subscribe, simply mail a blank message to this address, or go to the group home page and follow the instructions there.
