Frost Drive (27 Jan 2002)

January 27 2001 started off wet and windy. Very wet and windy! So wet that it had started raining several days earlier, and by the time we started our drive, much of the route was waterlogged and in some places flooded - at one point we passed a park where only the topmost foot of the park benches stood proud of the flood!

There's no lake marked on my map here?!

A repeated attempt at Andy's great winding route through the forest, the day proved to be an interesting winter drive, with loads of large puddles and mud, several shallow fords, and even a couple of stops to drive around fallen trees, so in the end, we never quite made it all the way to Box Hill, parting ways as the already dim light started to fail.

However, we had a great day out - a nice drive (with many dramatic splashes!) an excellent Pub lunch, and Nicole greatly enjoyed a trip down memory lane as we passed through the area where she grew up.

This picture isn't blurry - that's weather that is!
