![]() It was good to see so many of you at the National Rally. The day started off well with a good turn out at our meeting point at Oxford Services. We were joined by members from other areas, who had seen the details in Monthly Update - my goodness; members do actually look at what is going in other areas! By the time we left, there were around 16 cars in the convoy for the journey up the M40 and minor roads. One of the WLA former members had turned up in his RX7 and tagged along with us. I was slightly confused by this, and was even more surprised when 3 other RX7s came along beside us on the motorway and filed into the line! Talking afterwards to those further back in the convoy, we were getting a lot of attention from passing motorists. All became clear when we arrived at Gaydon - the RX7 owners had been invited to join the rally and had their own area to display their cars. Some of the WLA gang got together for a picnic at 1.00pm around my Berkeley - all very sociable. Hope you didn't spend too much money at the trade stands. Bob Pain |
