Portsmouth & MX5 Parts (23 November 2002)

A hardcore group of 5 cars turned up for our drive to Portsmouth and visit to MX-5 Parts. Despite a dismal start to the day (wet and grey), things brightened up as we drove down the A286 towards Chichester, so the tops came down for the final 20 minutes of the journey.

We were made to feel very welcome at MX-5 Parts, supplied with teas and coffees and allowed plenty of time to peruse the showroom and catalogue. After an hour and a half of questions and looking at cars and accessories, we all made our purchases (with 10% discount!) and headed off to Gun Quay in Portsmouth.

Lunch was taken at the Old Customs House (now a big pub with lots of charm), followed by a quick look around the designer outlets and shops (more money spent).

Thanks to David Horne for organizing the event, it was a great afternoon.
